Eulogy, Appreciation, and Celebration Video
October 16, 2013
Jeremy’s funeral and memorial services were a wonderful time to worship the Lord and praise Him for the blessed time that we had with Jeremy. We miss him dearly and there really aren’t words to describe the longing that we have to hold him and kiss him again.
For those unable to attend Jeremy’s memorial service, we’ve posted the eulogy, appreciation, and celebration video on this blog.

We love you guys. Stay strong and live on with peace
Thank you for posting and for your beautiful story of God and His redemptive plan for Jeremy, your family, and this world. I come in agreement and proclaim with you that without a doubt Jeremy is in a new heavenly body and rejoicing with the angels before his Heavenly Father’s throne. How beautiful too that you call Jeremy your “little brother in Christ.” You two are such amazing parents. Thank you for discipling us, your readers, through this blog with your stories of God’s goodness and rejoicing amidst great suffering, just as you disciple your boys, teaching them the ways of the Lord. I am praying blessings and comfort over you, Kong family. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” – Jesus
Hi Kong Family,
We have never met. My name is Pira and my wife is Venus. We have a little boy named Zeke who is 2 and a half years old. We are friends of Curtis and Vivian Chinn and Orlando and Rebecca Leon, and we attended the awesome superhero memorial for Jeremy a few Sundays ago.
Our family went through a recent loss of our daughter Fia Jae who was to be born in July. She had a chromosomal disorder and we knew we would have to let her go sooner than we had hoped.
Our story: http://piratritasavit.wordpress.com/2013/08/12/swallowed-up-by-life-2-corinthians-45-510-todays-sermon-at-new-life-church-of-the-nazarene/
We grieve and mourn with you in the hope we have in Christ and we celebrate His victory. Your testimony and praises echo within our hearts and we hold you up in prayer nightly with our little boy. It makes us smile to think that Jeremy and our daughter are forever friends in the eternal presence of Jesus right now.
During a meal the other day, I taught my son how to sing OUR GOD and we have since dubbed this “Jeremy’s song” – we are thrilled to hear Jeremy’s voice on this youtube again and know that he has joined an awesome choir around Jesus’ throne.
Here is Zeke singing, inspired by Jeremy’s video http://youtu.be/KzkzQ7XId24
Thank you for sharing your story and inviting us to be part of the journey. The strength and faithfulness your family has demonstrated is just so inspiring. I agree with other readers…you two are amazing parents. Even though I have never met Jeremy but he has such a positive impact on me and my perspective of life. God bless to the Kong family.
Love Agatha
Thank you for posting the videos and sharing your love and faith. Jeremy’s deep faith and kind heart will always remain a guiding star in this world, a glimpse of a greater love that awaits us beyond this life. I am always praying for your family. May God cover your family in a blanket of healing, comfort, and love.
Jeremy, even though I never had the honor of personally knowing you, you have taught me so many lessons…Personally, I learned to always try and be positive and resilient in the midst of pain and suffering and that life is BIGGER than breakups, work and day to day stresses. You truly are and still is a beacon of light! Because of you and your cause, I truly believe that there are so many people that are being helped, physically, mentally and spiritually. I am keeping your family in my prayers Jeremy. We will never forget you!
thanks for sharing your life and testimony. You guys are very strong parents and faithful servants. May Jesus continue to bring you peace, love and healing. Condolences.
Dear Anthony and Alice, Thanks again for opening your hearts, and showing us all that each of us also can be courageous in love and support of our loved ones, and even for someone we have not met, who is in reality not a stranger but simply a fellow “human being”. Let us all join your team to provide love and support to our families, and fellow “humans”. Your journey is showing us all that each of us can be a “conductor” in the symphony of life and that treating each other like family with love and caring is the way. In memory of Jeremy Kong, a young leader and role model. Anthony and Alice, play on – we stand with you shoulder to shoulder. With love, Bayard
