Praise God for our days at home. Each day is a blessing and we’re thankful for the time that God gives us with our boys.

The last few days have been a lot of crying and praying, asking God to pour His mercy out on Jeremy. I’m not sure how to put it into words exactly, there’s a lot that goes through our heads. When we start to get scared or worried or anxious, the Holy Spirit comforts us and reminds us of the many times that God has spared Jeremy from additional stress or pain – no FLT3 or other rare mutations in the leukemia, carrying Jeremy through every day of every round of treatment, protecting him from dangerous infections, helping him eat and drink despite mucousitis, protecting his vital organs from harsh chemotherapy, providing Jeremy a 9/10 donor after learning what a 9/10 donor can mean for him, rescuing his liver from VOD, protecting him from the reactivated CMV, protecting him from acute GVHD, bringing us home for Christmas, Jeremy being 100% donor from the very first engraftment study, celebrating Jeremy’s 3rd birthday, seeing him stomp around the house, singing and dancing and loving on his little brother, having an open heart and mind to learn about God, His love, and the precious sacrifice of His only son, Jesus Christ. And the list goes on.

When we look back and see clear evidence of God’s sustaining hand and response to our cries for mercy, what can we say, except that God is good!

Please continue to pray with us. Please pray against relapse. Please pray for the bone marrow aspirate on Thursday, 3/14 at 1:30pm, that it would show no signs of disease, no blasts in Jeremy’s marrow, a negative MRD. Please pray that all his cell lines – white blood cell, red blood cell, hemoglobin, ANC, and platelets – would return to an upward trend. Please pray that his platelets, especially, would steadily climb back up. Please pray that God would continue to pour His loving mercy out on Jeremy through this trial and that He would restore Jeremy to complete health.

In You, O Lord, I have taken refuge;
Let me never be ashamed.
In Your righteousness deliver me and rescue me;
Incline Your ear to me and save me,
For You are my rock and my fortress.
Rescue me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked,
Out of the grasp of the wrongdoer and ruthless man,
For You are my hope;
O Lord God, You are my confidence from my youth.
By You I have been sustained from my birth;
You are He who took me from my mother’s womb;
My praise is continually of You.
I have become a marvel to many,
For you are my strong refuge.
My mouth is filled with Your praise
And with Your glory all day long. (Psalm 71: 1-8)

Thank you all again for journeying with us and lifting Jeremy up in prayer.
