We recently heard the news that a young member of our church is in the intensive care unit for liver related issues.  He is urgent need of a liver transplant as other organs are in danger of being damaged as a result of improper liver function.

While we cannot fully understand their situation, our hearts are heavy for this family.  His parents, who have been involved in various ministries in our church, covet your prayers as brothers and sisters in Christ.

Please pray:

• that God will provide a new liver
• that God will give him the heart and wisdom to be cooperative as any noncooperation may be taken as uncompliance and thereby, hurt his chance for a liver transplant
• for protection over his other organs.  His kidney has had an infection and has been under a lot of pressure due to his liver not functioning normally.  This may also cause damage to his heart, which the doctors are checking
• for strength, rest, and comfort upon his family – his parents, sisters, brother-in-law and niece and extended family as they come alongside him through this
