Our friends are in need of prayer. They are a young couple with two young children, a boy and a girl, currently traveling in China.

Their boy is the same age as Jeremy and they are friends. He and Jeremy enjoyed story time at the library and romped around the playground together often in the past, before Jeremy was diagnosed with leukemia. When Jeremy was diagnosed, the boy’s father was instrumental in getting us transferred to where we are now for Jeremy’s treatment. They have been a great encouragement to us throughout Jeremy’s diagnosis and treatment. Now, their family faces a trial of their own.

Their little boy has been in the hospital for past two days in critical condition. He is in and out of consciousness with possible memingitis or encephalitis – infection of his brain. But diagnosis is not very certain so he is getting empiric treatment. He also has an eye infection which may cause long term visual problems.

Their little girl also encountered food poisoning.

They are waiting for their little boy’s condition to stabilize before going to Hong Kong, then back to the States.

Please lift up this family in your prayers. Please pray that the diagnosis for their little boy would be clear, that the condition would be easily treatable, and that God would lift the eye infection. Please pray that God would purge the food poisoning from their little girl. Please pray for full and complete healing for their children. Please pray for travel mercies as they try to make it back to the States.
